Annie Ernaux, a Nobel laureate, has spoken out against sexism in literature.

The recipient of this year's Nobel Prize in Literature spoke about the need for men to alter their views today, ahead of her acceptance speech on Saturday.

Women, according to the 82-year-old novelist, have "for long endured conditions that I thought completely abhorrent and terrible."
