Oil and Natural Gas discoveries all over the world have reached their lowest full-year level in 2021 for the past 75 years. The decline has been obvious since 2020.
Volumes discovered by November totaled 4.7 billion boe with no major discovery during the first three weeks of December. The industry is seeing the worst toll of discoveries since 1946.
2020 was still better with 12.5 billion boe unearthed across the globe.
