Overuse of herbicides costs £ 400 million a year for the UK economy

Weed resistance to herbicides, according to scientists from the University of Sheffield and environmental organization from the Zoological Society of London, costs the UK's economy as much as £ 400 million a year.

Researchers at the University of Sheffield and the Institute of Zoology at ZSL demonstrated that the systematic use of herbicides leads to resistant black-grass, which in effect costs millions of UK people in lost....
