NASA and the French Space Agency CNES have collaborated to create a powerful satellite that will be the first to monitor nearly all of the world's water sources in detail. Scientists will be able to better monitor climate change using this data.
On Friday, a satellite was sent into orbit with the express purpose of creating a global atlas of the world's waterways. Its ultimate goal is to aid in climate change research.
