Malaysia has been in the news for its dirty politics which has involved racism on a world stage by a world leader which has led to some serious criticism about the leader and the nation as well. This could very well impact the Malaysian economy in a bad way.
The investors could pull out their investments as no one wants to be associated with a racist nation in modern times it is a serious offense and coming from an official representing the country it has done some serious damage to the image of the nation on the global stage. With a national cooperation charter inked by former nemesis, United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) and Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) over the weekend is set to cause a huge change in politics, Malaysian politics will likely take on even stronger racial undertones, said, analysts.
Despite promises that PAS and UMNO would be inclusive, playing the race card to win over rural voters would be a matter of political expediency and a part of the dirty politics that has been going on in the nation, they also said. In this regard, the ruling Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition cannot afford to take things for granted.
No matter what your concern is or motive is racism is not justified in any situation and promoting it on a global stage that will be having serious altercations and we are about to witness those altercations on Monday when the markets open the trades go through and the world politics resume. Only then the true impact and gravity of racism will be made clear to the Malaysian leaders.
