The opening rites for the competition on Thursday were attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, crown prince of Dubai, and featured an overall performance by means of American musician Will.I.Am. The first city to arrange the competition outside the Americas is Dubai, which is signaling the Emirate's growing popularity as a worldwide hub for artificial intelligence and generation. The event required groups to gather their robot, which might shoot up plastic balls of various shapes and sizes, before launching them at baskets on either side of the arena. The sport courtroom represented the ocean, with the nuts, made from recycled plastic, said to be the pollution found within the global's waters.
"We have environment all around us, and thus it has an effect on us," said Annamei Chan, 17, representing Ireland. "There is only one planet which is the most important, so we have a duty to look after it. Her message turned into not lost on the competitors at the initial global project, who shared with the Swedish environmental activist who was more than just their age. "There have been many reforms in recent years to try and reduce the number of pollutants and shop the planet," stated Ms. Chan.
The groups featured in the competition have been decided on based on their performances in a chain of qualifying events that occurred over the last year. The game itself featured three teams becoming a member of forces in opposition to any other three facets on the alternative side of the courtroom. The groups with the best rankings could proceed to the final day of the competition on Sunday. One of the groups competing this weekend is made of younger Syrian refugees who have been eager to show what they have been capable of.
