• A group of specialists and volunteers are getting ready to save a unit of pilot whales abandoned at Farewell Spit at the northern tip of New Zealand's South Island

Approximately 50 finned pilot whales have passed off since they abandoned on Monday, and the excess creatures remained in the shallows on Tuesday morning notwithstanding endeavors to move them out to the ocean. ....
