Sales of retail driven high due to discounts and online spending in December

Over the month of December, there was an increase in the high street spending by 0.7 percent, as per the most recent monthly High Street Sales Tracker of BDO.

In particular, the week prior to Christmas was a busy period for the retailers, as there was an increase in in-store sales by 8.6 percent for the week.
