Saudi Aramco leads in the purchase of Bharat Petroleum stakes

It’s the government’s decision whether the Centre intends to disinvest all of its Bharat Petroleum’s 53.3% stake. It is important to note that Bharat Petroleum is a ‘Fortune 500’ firm. It appears as if no one is opposed to the idea, save for the nearly 12,000 individuals the company employs. Bharat Petroleum’s total assets amount to Rs.1, 36,930 Crore (US$20 billion).
