Scientists consider freshwater lakes as climate change ticking time bomb

The effects of climate change on freshwater lakes in Ontario, Canada was studied by the University of Cambridge. The study reveals that as a result of climate change, greenhouse gases contained in the water could be doubled. Dr. Andrew J Tanentzap, Head of Ecosystems and Global Change, University of Cambridge referred these freshwater lake ecosystems as ticking time bomb.
