SOUTH KOREA TO BE HUNDRED PERCENT SUSTAINABLE ENERGY COMPLIANT BY 2050

• The Ministry of Environment revealed a plan on Nov. 19 to reduce the ratio of coal-fired power generation to zero and increase the ratio of renewable energy-based power generation to 80 percent by 2050 in order to achieve zero carbon footprints by that year.
• The plan detail is up for hearing at the United Nations after public hearings and deliberation at the cabinet meeting scheduled for next month.
