As the stock market of the United States is known worldwide as one of the most profitable and prominent ones in the global stock markets, investing in it has been somewhat a hassle for the people who are not residents of the United States and the most interested and keen to invest in the US stock markets are Indians.
The Indians have always been a key ally to the United States markets, and the trend has not changed as the Indians are very fond of the United States markets and are always keen on investing in it. But this has never been an easy task just to invest overseas for the Indians. Although the RBI, which is the central bank of India, has allowed up to 250,000 USD to be invested by an Indian individual in the overseas market, this has not promoted the purchase of stocks in the international markets due to the difficulties and the various concerns involved in doing so. Vested, a 15-month-old startup, started by three South Asian students at UC Berkeley, which is simplifying investing in the US stock market for Indians. It is headquartered in Mountain View, California, with an office in Mumbai. This is the first claimed startup that allows the Indians to make commission-free investments in US equities, and also undertake fractional investing and some other market-related activities that were hard to access in India.
