As the world is changing and shifting to the clean energy auto sector, there has been relatively slow progress by the nation in the electric cars which have been seeing a huge rise in demand and popularity. But the current auto situation has the nation worried as the workers are going on strikes in the major manufacturers and thus killing the US auto industry.
After the backlash and the issues at the United States-based General Motors has been facing over the workers strike and fall in production and sales due to it, now the strike is spreading to the whole United States. The recent victim of this strike is Ford and Fiat and they are suffering badly. The UAW
(United association of Workers) will use the GM deal that they have signed after a 40 day long strike that has cost the company a huge fortune as a “pattern” for negotiations with Ford Motor and then Fiat Chrysler, however there are no guarantees that the wins and losses from the talks with GM will carry over to its crosstown rivals of Ford and other companies as they have their own way of dealing with these issues.
The auto industry of the United States is going to crumble on itself amid the global auto crisis and is this happens there will be major fallout in the nation’s production and will hurt the economy in a very bad way. We are hoping that the strikes stop as they will worsen the conditions of the US
