The generation of electricity in France reached 72.6 gigawatts on Friday, which includes the 2.5 gigawatts from solar energy sources. Reported from Paris, the export of electricity from France to their neighboring countries reached the highest level in the previous week. All thanks to the hot weather in various parts of the country that led to a curbed level of consumption, whereas the country’s power generators were producing the power at the winter rate according to their representative. The exports of power from the country to its neighbors’, specifically Spain and Italy got to as much as 17.4 gigawatts as at 15:30 GMT on the previous Friday. Generation of low energy was one of the major causes of lower wind energy production, which eventually led to much higher demand for power from the neighboring countries. The generation of electricity in the country reached a high of around seventy gigawatts, out of which 3 percent was generated from the solar related sources. The demand for the electricity produced in France reached to 55.2 GW in this period, which is almost the usual level of consumption in the spring holidays which could be compared to the demand of around 75 Gigawatts last year. The RTE reported that there is remarkably hot weather within the country this time. This included temperature which was 3 degree more than what the temperature is in this season, this resulted in the lower level of demand for electricity within the country. The Meteo-France predicted the all-time most sunshine all over the country in the month of February as a result of various meteorological circumstances which would favor the dry and humid weather. The county of France continues to be an exporter of power through the European continent, all due to the 58 nuclear reactors that allow it to meet over 75 percent of its overall electricity need.
