The German government is having a hard time accommodating more than a million refugees.

More than 1.1 million refugees and migrants have arrived in Germany this year, largely from war-torn Ukraine but increasingly from other countries like Syria and Afghanistan. On Tuesday, the German government promised to provide more aid to cities and towns trying to house them.
