Tropical Africa accounts for one-third of recent global methane rise

Since 2007, the atmospheric concentration of methane has risen suddenly. Methane is a greenhouse gas that is 28 times more potent than carbon dioxide.  

A new research reveals that one-third of this global increase originates in Africa Tropics.
