TRUMP EPA SUED OVER ROLLBACK OF SAFETY RULES FOR CHEMICALS BY ATTORNEY GENERAL

Highlights:

• The Chemical Disaster Rule was finalized way back on January 13, 2017.
• However, it endured numerous delays before finally going into effect on February 19, 2019.

The rule was partly prompted by an April 2013 explosion at a fertilizer facility in West Texas. The explosion left 15 people dead and more than 260 suffered injuries.
