Twitter is seeking help to draft fake content policy for misleading media content. Such tweets having manipulated media are in serious trouble. According to the latest update, Twitter will be placing notice right next to the tweets having such fabricated or altered content. The popular social network is out to develop new policy about misleading photos and content and is expecting to get genuine public input regarding this.
What according to twitter is manipulated media
The manipulated media, is also sometimes called deepfakes. The manipulated or altered media might be a type of video, audio or photo which has been fabricated to such an extent that the original meaning is changed. It intentionally misleads people. In a blogpost, twitter said, “When you come to Twitter to see what’s happening in the world, we want you to have context about the content you’re seeing and engaging with. Deliberate attempts to mislead or confuse people through manipulated media undermine the integrity of the conversation,” Twitter clearly said it won’t entertain “purposeful misleading”.
The new draft policy
As per the new draft policy, twitter is going to place notice next to all the tweets which are purposefully trying to confuse people.
