UK says it can cut emissions to nearly zero by 2050

The Committee on global climate change (CCC) maintains this could be done at no further price from previous estimates.

Its report says that if different countries follow the United Kingdom, there’s a 50-50 probability of staying below the counseled 1.5C temperature rise by 2100.

A 1.5C rise is taken into account the edge for dangerous temperature change.
