More than a month after a coup halted operations, the United States military has resumed operations in Niger, flying drones and other aircraft out of airbases in the country, according to the commander of Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa.
Since the rebellion that ousted President Mohamed Bazoum in July, the roughly 1,100 American troops stationed in the West African nation have been confined to their military bases.
