US patents are given to Hyundai's "walking vehicle."

Hyundai Motor Group has taken the next step toward making its futuristic four-legged cars a reality by getting licenses for walking cars in the US.

According to the US Patent and Trademark Office on Tuesday, two patent applications for walking cars were published under the names of both Hyundai and Kia on July 6, about 19 months after the two companies filed for the patents on December 31, 2021.
