As Twitter announced last weekend that it will be banning all the political advertisements and will not be aiding the politicians with their false agendas there have been calls for Facebook and Google to do the same but there has been no announcement from either of the tech giants especially Facebook who has been accused of data theft and privacy invasion.
The companies are expected to announce these bans soon as the pressure has been rising from the public as the accusations of manipulating the politics with these social media platforms have been rising, and the leak of data from these companies has only added fuel to the already huge fire. While Facebook has remained silent among the demands, we are expecting that it will have to take this measure as the people would be very upset if they do not. The United Kingdom is having elections on the brink of Brexit, and it does not have the time to tackle the issue of online politics, so they are urging Facebook to suspend politics from the platform just like Twitter did voluntarily. But Facebook seems like it is in no mood of doing so, and this is going to change the way people will deal with the tech giant.
If Facebook does not announce anything soon, there will be a major backlash from the people as well as the political institutions that want this, and this will not be good for the business of the company at all.
