According to the EU antitrust chief, big IT is now regulated like banks

"The Digital Markets Act (DMA) will (now) define the rules of the game for corporations who act as gatekeepers," EU competition head Margrethe Vestager told reporters hours after the bill was enacted.

This was "done a long time ago in areas such as finance, telecommunications, energy, and transportation," she noted, and "at long last, we create the same reality here."
