European Residents Demand Stoppage of Oil Extraction in Rotterdam

Residents of the Charlois neighborhood in Rotterdam Zuid are not willing to tolerate oil and gas extraction. Two thousand people have signed a petition that urges authorities to refrain from issuing a license that allows oil and gas extraction to be continued until 2050. 

Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij, a Dutch company has been extracting fossil fuels beneath seventy thousand homes in the area for the last thirty-eight years.....
