Extend CSR reach to poor and North-East states: Sitharaman to India Inc

Corporate undertakings serve Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday admonished India Inc to grow its corporate social obligation reach to weak states like Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Bihar, and the North East locale.

Valuing that organizations spent about Rs 13,000 crore a year ago under CSR, she said this is extremely applicable for the advancement of the hinterland.
