According to BusinessNZ, manufacturing operation in New Zealand contracted in December.
The seasonally adjusted Performance of Manufacturing Index (PMI) for the Bank of New Zealand-Business NZ fell to 49.3 from 51.2 in the previous month.
A reading above 50 indicates an operation expansion, while anything below that level indicates a contraction.
