MISSISSIPPI’S NEW FLAG MAY EITHER BE A SHIELD OR THE MAGNOLIA FLOWER

Highlights:

•       A Commission has been set up to choose the flag

•       To finalize the design the committee shall meet again in September

Mississippi was looking for a new flag after it decided to discard its old confederate flag. People were asked to send in their entries. Around 3000 designs came in from various parts of the state.
