S. KOREA’S NUMBER OF PATERNITY LEAVE IN 2020 INCREASED BY 23 PERCENT

• S. Korea’s number of paternity leave in 2020 increased by 23 percent.
• In 2020, the total number of private-sector workers requesting paternity leave stood at 27,423.
• The average length of paternity leave in South Korea in 2020 was 9.4 months.
• More than half of parents went on leave when their children were up to 6 months old.
