Several Finance Ministers Walk Out of the G20 Meeting as Russian Delegates Begin to Speak

The United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen walked out of the meeting of a Group of 20 finance officials on 20th April just as the Russian Delegates began to speak to protest against Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.

British, Canadian, and French officials were also part of the walkout of the virtual meeting, which was taking place on the sidelines of the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.<....
