The EU is bolstering its relationship with WHO to increase local manufacture and access to vaccines, medicines, and health technology in Africa

The Commission and the World Health Organization (WHO) are expanding their collaboration to increase equitable access to safe, effective, and high-quality vaccines, medicines, and health technology in Sub-Saharan Africa. Jutta Urpilainen, Commissioner for International Partnerships, and Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO, made the announcement today in Geneva.
