Japan, South Korea PX manufacturers in a fix over China’s expansion

The petrochemical expansion in China is expected to overwhelm Japan and South Korea producers, reported The Japan Times.

China’s rapidly expanding manufacturing capacity for paraxylene (PX) could affect business of major leading manufacturers in South Korea and Japan. By the end of March 2020, China will add about 10 million tonnes of paraxylene manufacturing in national capacity.
